I understand–both professionally and personally–the emotions, issues, and challenges of getting divorced. In fact, after my own litigated divorce, I became a divorce mediator so that I could help couples avoid the pain, stress and expense that I had endured.

As for my personal experience with divorce: my parents divorced when I was in my early 20’s; my twin sister is divorced; I have been divorced twice, and I am married for the third time. I have co-parented five children (ages 4-14 at the time of the divorce) and have step-parented four others.

Professionally, I hold graduate degrees in Law; Accounting/Taxation; and Marriage and Family Therapy. I also have over 35 years of professional experience related to divorce. Since 2002, I have devoted my practice exclusively to divorce and post-divorce mediation, during which time I have successfully completed nearly 300 mediations.

I am a Certified Mediator, an Advanced Practitioner Member of the Association for Conflict Resolution/Academy of Family Mediators; a member (and former member of the Board) of The Connecticut Council for Non-Adversarial Divorce; a former member of the Board of Shared Parenting; and a member of the CT Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

My personal interests include gardening; collecting beach/sea glass; antique fire engines; and spending time with my wife, my five children, their significant others, and my grandchildren.
